Organised and run by Wigtownshire Celebrates Pride, with support from TVYP and The Vault Arts Centre, a fantastic first PRIDE event took place on Saturday 14th August celebrating equality and acceptance and raising funds for LGBT Youth Scotland and Stonewall Scotland.

Dance performance to The Ultimate Pride Anthems

Live music was provided by TVYP members Charlie Dorans, Billy Craig, Finlay Craig and Tara Burnett, with additional musical performances by Kirsty Sutherland.  The day also featured a dance performance to ‘The Ultimate Pride Anthems’ by Kelly Whiteside, Rachel Barr and Keevah-Lee Forsyth.

Cloud Vinyl created an amazing 12ft rainbow balloon arch, the perfect entrance for visitors throughout the day, The Moo Bar kept everyone refreshed and fed with yummy milkshakes and doughnuts and Little Penguin Paints made sure everyone looked FABulous with raindow and unicorn face painting and lots of glitter!

Organisers Kelly Whiteside and Tara Burnett, from Wigtownshire Celebrates Pride and TVYP, said: “We would like to thank everyone who attended and supported the event, including Mike and Emma Abel for filming performances and taking photographs, as well as TVYP and all the volunteers and staff at The Vault, especially Nathon and Rhona Jones who were a tremendous help in organising and hosting the event.”.

Next year's event has already been committed to the diary for Saturday 23rd July 2022, details of which will be posted here and on the Wigtownshire Celebrates Pride page on Facebook and @pride_thevault on Twitter in due course.
