Tune and Song Sessions this Weekend

There will be tune and song sessions aplenty this weekend at the 2nd annual Autumn Trad Festival, which starts this Friday 21st October. Musicians are welcome at venues throughout Newton Stewart, with sessions at The Vault Arts Centre kicking off from 1pm on Friday and Saturday, and 3pm on Sunday.

One of the best things about the traditional music events hosted at The Vault Arts Centre are the number of fantastic musicians who arrive, throughout the weekend, to join the sessions both before and after the concert events. The sessions are very welcoming, for all ages and abilities, so please bring your instruments and voices and we'll see you across the room at some point!Scottish national award finalists
Finalists every year since 2022, and winners of a 'Highly Recommended' award in the 'Best Social Responsibility' category in 2025, The Vault Arts Centre has done it again in 2026; finalists again in the 'Best Night Out' category! Can we bring home a national award for Newton Stewart this year?
