Today's announcement by the Scottish Government, lifting most Covid restrictions from 24th Jan including, crucially, 1m distancing and table service, is a huge boost for the project, the artists who perform here and, we hope, for you; our fantastic audiences. We can't wait to get back to it in 2022!
We can't wait to welcome you all back in 2022
The restrictions that have been in place meant that it simply wasn't viable to run events and, as you may know, that forced the venue to close throughout December 2021 and January 2022. With restrictions about to be lifted it means that we can push on now, with confidence, with a full programme of live events and, vitally, welcome back a full live audience again.
We've already got a new festival to look forward to this May - SpringGrass Bluegrass Festival - and plans are well under way for a new blues weekend in September as well as the annual traditional music & dance festivals in July and October. We'll also be welcoming back the monthly rock/metal and folk/trad nights, along with the music shop, art classes, music tuition and The Vault Youth Project (TVYP).
We will, of course, be proceeding with caution; Covid will be with us for some time yet and we will, therefore, continue to make sure that staff, performing artists and audiences are as comfortable, safe and protected as possible.
We can't wait to welcome you back to the venue this year. We've enjoyed some absolutely unforgettable nights of live music and entertainment since we opened way back in November 2019, and we are very excited about bringing you more of the same in 2022 and beyond.
