Open Mic Night
Experience the magic and talent of Wigtownshire at the Open Mic Night on Friday the 12th April! Join us for an evening filled with diverse, unique performances ranging from live music to spoken word and poetry. Whether you're an inspiring artist or a supportive listener the stage is open to all! Please come along and share your creativity in an encouraging, welcoming atmosphere that celebrates everyone! Performance slots are available throughout the night, and we welcome all types of acts, styles, genres, ages and abilities. Don’t fancy getting up on stage? Then just come along and enjoy!
The Vault bar will be there to provide alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments. With a focus on supporting produce from Dumfries & Galloway, and more generally from across Scotland you'll get a true Scottish experience when visiting The Vault bar! With incredible lager from WEST brewery and amazing ales from Five Kingdoms there is no shortage of delicious brews to keep you happy. As well as the best spirits Galloway has to offer from gins and vodka from the delicious Crafty Distillery, to perfect spiced rums from Ninefold distillery we really do have something for everyone! If none of that is to your taste, don't worry…we have all the usual drinks you'd expect from a good bar, a fantastic selection of white, red, rose and sparkling wines, spirits and soft drinks!
£5 entry, Performers enter free. This event is family and pet friendly!
Over 27th-29th June 2025, The Vault Arts Centre hosts the 2nd annual Jazz, Funk, Soul Festival which, this year, features the incredible Fraser Fifield's Secret Path Trio, The Allan McKeown Trio and The Groove Sermon! Tickets on sale now and you can save, and catch all 3 shows, with a Weekend Pass!

This weekend we celebrate The Wicker Man, with a screening of the original 1973 film on Friday 2nd May followed, on Saturday 3rd May, by The Return to Summerisle documentary, both at Newton Stewart Cinema, with and after-premiere party at The Vault Arts Centre. Bar open from 2pm on Fri & Sat.
