This Friday 15th September sees the 2nd annual Blues Weekender festival get underway at The Vault Arts Centre and opening night looks set to be a belter with one of Scotland's busiest grassroots live acts, Three Card Trick originally from Dumfriesshire, performing with support from Easy Does It!
Three Card Trick
Three Card Trick are a blues influenced rock trio originally from Dumfrieshire in Scotland comprising brothers Gary (guitar/vox) and Dean (bass/vox) Johnstone with Gibby Gibson (drums).
With influences ranging from Stevie Ray Vaughan, AC/DC, John Mayer, Eric Clapton etc, the band’s sound is rooted in classic rock and with a pronounced nod to modern guitar heroes as well as the original blues artists who started it all.
Having 20 years experience in the music industry, Three Card Trick have recently completed successful tours of France, Spain and USA promoting their original albums. Gary appeared on Chicago's JBTV in Oct 2019 plus UK supports with the Darkness and Wheatus and USA shows with Manny Torres and Mike Wheeler Band.
Tickets are going well for the weekend, plus you can save £4.00 per person and enjoy two nights of outstanding live blues music for just £16.00 per person with a Weekend Pass.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, we have had to reschedule the Candy Opera gig, due to take place this Saturday 21st September, to a later date - most likely April 2025. We'd like to thank Candy Opera for being so accommodating, at this tricky time, and very much look forward to next year!
