Trust no longer able to support vital Project Co-ordinator & Festival Director role

With funding cut for the annual traditional music festivals and the recent closure of the music tuition and youth group projects at The Vault Arts Centre, the Trust continues to make cutbacks to ensure its survival, but the loss of its only member of staff will have a significant negative impact.

TVYP to close after Easter holidays due to lack of funding

With over 32 young members who attend weekly sessions at The Vault Arts Centre, the youth work and youth projects are fantastic for young people in the region, but a combination of unsuccessful funding applications and increasing costs have forced the Trust, with heavy hearts, to close the project.

A double whammy of success today for Trad Music Trust who run The Vault Arts Centre and Newton Stewart & Minnigaff Traditional Music & Dance Festival, both of which have been nominated for an Awarding Wigtownshire award. We're thrilled to see The Vault Arts Centre up for 'Contribution to Music'.
